An original stay at the farmer's!

After a good hike or a cycling trip you'll arrive at your haystack cabin. From the picnic table you'll be just able to enjoy the sunset and the view over the meadows. At night silence rules. All drowsy after a day in the open, you'll huddle into bed early. What a delightful stay at the farm!

Haystack cabins can be found on small farm campsites or on the farmer's property.  The comfortable cabins are suitable for four or five persons.

You can already book a cabin for € 45, - per night for four persons.

What is a haystack cabin?

The Haystack cabins can be found on small farm campsites or on the farmer's property.  The cabins can be compared to hiker's huts and are suitable for four to five persons. Staying the night at the farmer's is an original way to be introduced to life on a farm.  A warm welcome awaits you!

The cabins are comfortable and fully furnished.  We can reassure you that we have replaced the straw and hay bales by a nice thick mattress. The cabin has its own lavatory and shower facilities can be found elsewhere on the farm. You can already book a cabin for € 45, - per night for four persons.

• Two bunk beds, mattresses, pillows, fitted sheets and pillow cases.
• Dining table with four chairs
• An electric twin-burner

• Crockery  with cutlery
• Light and socket
• Cleaning equipment; dustpan and brush, bucket, floor cloth, broom and  washbowl
• Jerrycan
• Dustbin
• Electric cool box

Bring for yourself

• Sleeping bag or duvet
• Toiletries
• Towels and tea-towels , dishcloth

Arrival and departure

• On arrival day the haystack cabin will be available at 3pm.
• On departure day you will leave the haystack cabin before noon.  We ask you to verify that the haystack cabin is clean upon departure.
• After a correct checkout the € 50, 00 deposit will be returned.
  
  

House rules

• No smoking allowed in the cabins.
• Pets only after consultation.

Prices

You can spend the night in a haystack cabin from the middle of March until the beginning of November.  It doesn't matter how many nights you want to stay, the haystack cabins can be rented per night, weekend or week.

The first night in a four person cabin costs € 50,00 per cabin, from the second night you pay € 45,00 per cabin/per night. 

 The first night in a five person cabin costs € 65,00 per cabin, from the second night you pay € 60,00 per cabin/per night (excluding tourism taxes).

Every farmer proposes extra facilities. This could be a breakfast service,  canoe rental or participating in a ceramics workshop. 

Gift certificate

Give a wonderful stay in a haystack cabin as a present. You can order the certificate by e-mail.  After receipt of your advance payment, the certificate will be sent to you by post.
